Applications are invited from Indian citizens within 30 days of publication of this advertisement for the post of Director at Bhopal Memorial Hospital & Research Centre (BMHRC), Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh in the Pay Band-4 Rs.37400-67000 Plus Grade Pay Rs.10000/- (as per 6th CPC) and usual allowances as admissible as per Government norms.
The BMHRC is a premier medical research organization dealing with health research in various areas with state of art infrastructural facilities. The BMHRC is a 350 bedded Super-speciality hospital. The hospital is a referral and tertiary care centre for the gas tragedy victims and the hospital is well-equipped with State-of-the art facilities located at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh and is under the administrative control of Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India. The hospital has 8 mini units spread around the city. The hospital has nearly 800 employees including faculty members.
BMHRC currently has the following Departments: Anaesthesiology, Cardiology, Cardio-Thoracic Surgery, Medical Gastroenterology, Microbiology, Nephrology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, Pathology, Pulmonary Medicine, Psychiatry, Radiology, Surgical Gastroenterology, Surgical Oncology, Transfusion Medicine and Urology. BMHRC also has an advanced research centre, supporting facilities at the hospital include a well equipped Physiotherapy, Pharmacy, Medical Records and Clinical Nutrition Sections and a Library with a large number of medical and nursing books and journals.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:
(i) A postgraduate degree (MD/MS) in medical subjects relevant to BMHRC recognized by MCI.
(ii) Fifteen years Teaching/Research experience in the relevant areas in a recognized institute(s) after obtaining essential qualification (i) above, out of which at least 5 years in a managerial position to handle the management of a Hospital department/unit with Research facilities.
DESIREABLE QUALIFICATION:
(i) DM/MCH/equivalent in disciplines relevant to BMHRC (This will be counted equivalent to 2 years of relevant experience).
(ii) Additional Post Doctoral research experience in relevant subject after MD/MS in recognized in recognized institute.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
The Director of the hospital is expected to provide leadership and have adequate experience of running a major Hospital with research facilities.
AGE LIMITS:
Not exceeding 52 years as on closing date of receiving the applications. Relaxable up to 5 years for Government servants and SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates in accordance with the instructions issued by the Department of Personnel & Training from time to time in this regard. Age, qualification and experience will be relaxable in deserving cases to be specified by Search-cum-Selection Committee.
OTHER SERVICE CONDITIONS:
(i) Private practice is not allowed. However, non-practicing allowance is admissible to medical graduates only as per rules.
