The Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA), a statutory body constituted under The Marine Products Export Development Authority Act, 1972, proposes to fill up the above Group ‘A’ posts on deputation basis.
The qualification and experience required for the post are:
1) Director (Marketing) Group A Officers of the Central Government holding post in-
(i) Pay Band-4, Rs.37400 – 67000 plus grade pay of Rs. 8700/-, or
(ii) Pay Band-3, Rs.15600 – 39100 plus grade pay of Rs. 7600/- with five years’ service in the
grade.
Desirable:
Familiarity with problems of marine products Industry, quality control, marketing, aquaculture and fishing including deep sea fishing.
2) Resident Director, Trade Promotion Office, New York Officers of the Central Government or Autonomous Bodies of Central Government holding post in pay band- 3, Rs. 15600 – 39100 plus grade pay of Rs. 7600/- with a minimum of one years’ experience in the grade.
Essential:
Familiarity with problems of marine products Industry, quality control, marketing and fishing
including deep sea fishing.
3. Resident Director, Trade Promotion Office, Tokyo, Japan Officers of the Central Government or Autonomous Bodies of Central Government holding post in pay band – 3, Rs.15600 – 39100 plus grade pay of Rs. 6600/- with minimum five years’ experience in the grade.
Desirable:
Knowledge of standards and food safety norms adopted by Japan for seafood, facilities available in India for testing seafood for export, issues faced by seafood exported from India to Japan, marketingchannels of seafood in Japan, trade agreements pertaining to seafood with Japan.
General Instructions :
Note 1 : The period of deputation including the period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organization or Department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not to exceed three years.
Note 2: The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation to the above post is 45 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications. Employees of the Marine Products Export Development Authority shall be eligible for age relaxation of five years.
Note 3: For the purpose of computing minimum qualifying service for deputation, the service rendered on a regular basis by an officer prior to 1st January, 2006 or the date from which the revised pay structure based on the recommendations of the Sixth Central Pay Commission has been extended, shall be deemed to be service rendered in the corresponding grade pay or pay scale extended based on the recommendations of the said Pay Commission except where there has been merger of more than one pre-revised scale of pay into one grade with a common grade pay or pay scale, and where this benefit will extend only for the post for which that grade pay or pay scale is the normal replacement grade without any up gradation.

iv) Vigilance Clearance
Applications received after the last date or without the Annual Performance Appraisal Reports and other relevant documents or otherwise found incomplete will not be considered.
The appointment will be on deputation basis for a period of 3 years from the date of appointment. The selected officer will have the option to draw the pay of the deputation post and/or his/her grade pay plus deputation(duty) allowance, in accordance with Ministry of Finance O.M.No.10/24/E.III/60 dated 4th May 1961 as amended from time to time.
