Educational Qualification:
For Senior Research Fellowship:  First class  M.E/M.Tech./M.S. or equivalent
For Junior Research Fellowship:  First class  B.E/ B.Tech /M.Sc. or equivalent
Monthly Stipend (Consolidated)
Rs. 36,700/­ p.m.  for  Senior Research Fellowship (SRF)
Rs. 32,800/­ p.m.  for  Junior Research Fellowship  (JRF)  to candidates with  NET/GATE qualification.
Rs. 30,000/­ p.m. for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) to candidates without NET/GATE qualification.

Duration of the Fellowship Period:

Initially, the selected fellows shall be engaged for aperiodof oneyear. However, subject to satisfactory performance, the fellowship award shall be renewable annually upto a maximum period of 3 years. In case of candidates who register for Ph.D., the fellowship award may be extended upto 5 years from the actual date of registration to the Ph.D. programme.
