Whereas, the Higher Education Department vide communication No.Edu/Coll/apptt./A.P/23014 dated 19.05.2014 had referred 10 (OM=01,RBA=04, SC=02, ST=02 & ALC=01) of posts of Assistant Professors in the discipline of Electronics to the J&K Public Service Commission for being filled up through direct recruitment from amongst the eligible/suitable candidates in terms of SRO-124 dated 21.04.2014; and
whereas, the J&K Public Service Commission, vide Notification No. 12-PSC(DR-P) of 2014 dated 29.05.2014 invited applications on prescribed format from the permanent residents of Jammu & Kashmir possessing the prescribed qualification. In the said Notification it was inter-alia mentioned at Note para-2 that the candidates who have already applied in response to Notification No. 09-PSC(DR-P) of 2013 dated 23.05.2013 for the above mentioned posts need not apply subject to the fulfillment of the eligibility requirements as laid down in SRO-124 dated 21.04.2014; and
whereas, in response to the above said Notifications, the Commission received 49 applications; and
whereas, these applications have been scrutinized and a deficiency notice vide dated 12.12.2015 stands already issued; and
whereas, in terms of Rule 40-2(b) of J&K Public Service Commission (Business & Procedure) Rules, 1980 short-listing of candidates is to be done on the basis of percentage of marks obtained in the basic prescribed qualification and weight-age to be given to higher qualification; and
Now, therefore, the following candidates have been shortlisted in pursuance of Rule 40-ii (b) of J&K Public Service Commission (Business & Procedure Rules) 1980 on the basis of marks obtained in basic qualification and weight-age accorded to higher qualification: –
